Información presentada para la conferencia 2008 del encuentro latinoamericano.
Brindar a los asistentes un panorama general sobre el desarrollo y producción de imagen en envases para golosinas, desde las cualidades comunicativas del producto.
Presentación de procesos creativos y de desarrollos de artes para impresión de packaging de golosinas; exposición colectiva de trabajos (las artes) para impresión en los sistemas offset, flexo y huecograbado de impresión.

Revalorización del diseño: para un producto exitoso.
El mundo del packaging resulta ser un área cada vez más apasionante. Las diversas facetas que tiene que cumplir, desde exigencias de calidad, competitividad y productividad; instancia en la cual el diseñador debe integrarse a la industria del envase y a las tecnologías aplicadas para obtener resultados deseados y satisfacer los requerimientos del consumidor.
Sin duda, el primer acercamiento del envase con el consumidor es visual.
El packaging, en sus finalidades primarias de: conservar, proteger y transportar un producto, se integra a las funciones estéticas, económicas y sociales del un mundo cada vez más globalizado, ya que hoy posee una importancia fundamental en el conjunto de estrategias gráficas y de comunicación que generan la construcción de una marca.
El packaging funciona como identidad de la marca; ya no sólo es envoltura protectora, contenedora, sino que es imagen e identidad. Comunica y vende; como objetos semióticos son soportes de información, vehículos de mensajes y portadores de significados. El envase es la carta de presentación del producto que resguarda, y las características del diseño responden en buena medida a las características del mercado al que van dirigidos.
Acto de diseñar: factores y variables para hacer un diseño “lindo”.
Perfil productivo: trabajando lejos de las soluciones y recetas preestablecidas; concepto e implementación.
Ejemplos prácticos:
Presentación de procesos creativos y de desarrollos de artes para impresión de packaging de golosinas; exposición colectiva de trabajos (las artes) para impresión en los sistemas offset, flexo y huecograbado de impresión.
Rediseño del Packaging:
Cambiar por el sólo hecho de cambiar no es razón para rediseñar un packaging; cualquier cambio o desarrollo en el envase debe obedecer a criterios claramente establecidos.
Ejemplos objetivos, específicos y cuantitativos para realizar diseños nuevos o una revisión de ellos:
-revitalizar una marca latente
-incrementar ventas a un nivel específico
-responder a nuevas necesidades del consumidor
-reposicionar un producto existente ante los cambios del mercado
La imagen de la marca es uno de los factores categóricos desde donde gravita la concepción del packaging. Por ello es importante enfatizar que los envases que más eficazmente contribuyen a crear una imagen de la marca son aquellos que poseen la personalidad que el consumidor logra reconocer y captar instantáneamente.
